Kyloq

Your training, set by set

Kyloq is a gym log for people who go often enough to care about the numbers. It knows what you lifted last time and offers it back, it counts your rest, it follows you to the wrist, and it turns months of sets into something you can actually read. Scroll down and the workout unfolds around the phone.

The Kyloq home screen
01

It already knows what you lifted

The day’s routine opens with every set pre-filled with what you did last time, on that same machine. Change a weight with the keypad the app brings itself: big digits, a comma and little else. Tick the set off and the rest timer starts on its own, and the watch on your wrist picks up the same session.

02

Close it and read it

The last set goes in and the workout closes into a summary: time under the bar, volume moved, the muscles you actually worked, and the personal records the session left behind, worked out from the estimated one-rep max of every set.

03

Turning up is the hard part

The month shows what you trained and what you planned, day by day and muscle by muscle. It is the view that answers the only question that matters after a few weeks: am I still going.

04

Every exercise, drawn

The catalogue comes with its own pictograms: the movement on one side, the muscle it loads on the other. And each exercise keeps its variants, one per machine, because the weight on one is not the weight on the next.

05

What the scale leaves out

Progress photos go into collections of your own and a slider walks them through time, with the date and the weight of that day underneath. They sit behind Face ID and never show up in the phone’s photo library.

How it is built

SwiftUI on iOS and watchOS from one project: the phone owns the session and the watch mirrors it over WatchConnectivity, so a set logged on either wrist or hand shows up on the other. A Live Activity keeps the rest timer on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. Behind it there is a real backend: Fastify and Postgres on a VPS, JWT with refresh tokens. And the app queues a finished workout when the network is not there, so the gym basement never costs you a session. The progress photos sit behind Face ID and full file protection.
